The 85th Academy Awards were literally a charmer to a hell lot of viewers. An Oscar worldwide known this time for showing America’s Triumph in the political and war scenario. An Oscar which saluted World Cinema and its outlook. Where the first time host of the Oscars was nominated as the best host ever. It was truly a magnificent evening.

With Most nominations, Lincoln made quite an impact with about 11 nominations winning 2 awards- Best Production Design and Best Actor. Daniel Day Lewis is the first male actor to receive the Oscar 3 times for Best Actor. Argo- a political drama thriller showing a nail biting rescue of 6 Americans from Iran bagged Best Picture, Best Adapted screenplay and Best Film Editing.

Life of Pi with 12 nominations won 4 Oscars  Most for the Night. Best Director, Best Original Score, Cinematography, and Visual Effects saw the Cast and Crew of this beautiful movie enthralled. Ang Lee ended his speech with a Namaste thanking Suraj and his Crew. Best Actress was won by Jennifer Lawrence for Silver Linings Playbook. Her fall at the stairs saw everyone laughing, but her speech was more than overwhelming to make them shut up.

Christopher Waltz for Django Unchained and Anne Hathaway for Les Miserables won the Best Supporting Actor and actress respectively. Skyfall sung by Adele won the Best Original Song. Zero Dark thirty also got an award. The Best Foreign Language Film was Amour. All the divas glittered in their wonderful dresses and gowns.

And the most spectacular Host, Seth Macfarlane, with his uttermost rude comments also won the heart of each person sitting in the Dolby Theater. His joke about Riri and Chris Brown, Argo’s director, Boob Song, Short song and dance sequences, and Lincoln’s assassination had everyone laughing and shocked at the same time.
