It’s a BOY!! The arrival of George Alexander Louis..

And they lived happily ever after….Sounds cheesy??!! Believe me, it is the most apt thing to say about Prince William and Kate Middleton’s love story. From their first meeting as students at the University of St. Andrews in 2001 to their initial dating life in 2002, to their temporary break-up in 2007 due to reasons unknown and finally to their marriage on 29th April 2011, which gave Britain its most hyped wedding of the decade
where the bride did not belong to a royal family and was just a ‘commoner’! Everything about this story spells magic and makes every teenager want to believe that miracles indeed happen! And the most beautiful chapter of this fairytale has now been written- the birth of their son-His Royal Highness Prince George of Cambridge. With fanfare fit for a prince, Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, and husband Prince William welcomed their first child Monday. The baby boy was born at 4:24 p.m., weighing 8 pounds, 6 ounces and is third in line to the throne. People from all over the world had gathered outside Buckingham Palace to await news of the birth. The fountains at Trafalgar Square were turned blue. The birth announcement was placed on an easel outside of Buckingham Palace to announce the birth to the world.

Not only is the country overjoyed on welcoming a royal successor after a long time, the businessmen too can’t hide their ecstacy . The royal birth is expected to be good for business.

The UK-based Centre for Retail Research estimates retailers will sell $121 million worth of royal-related baby toys and souvenirs. Merchandise ranges from diaper covers and clothing to a “prince potty chair,” which of course is in the shape of a throne.

On Twitter, topics related to the royal baby jumped to the top of the trending list in the United Kingdom Monday morning.

Worldwide, hashtags such as #RoyalBabyBoy and #Will & Kate were trending later in the day.The baby was the only topic on the radio talk show hosted by Vanessa Feltz on BBC London 94.9 on Monday morning. British companies can expect a temporary boost from the birth of Prince William and Kate’s new baby as souvenirs and champagne fly off the shelves and tourists flock to the country, business leaders and analysts said Tuesday.Retail sales could see an increase of $372 million from the arrival of a future king, based partly on the experience of the couple’s wedding in 2011 and the diamond jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II in 2012, analysts said. International consumers may also be more likely to visit British brands’ websites and overseas stores.

“It is an important moment in the life of our nation, but I suppose above all, it’s a wonderful moment for a warm and loving couple who got a brand new baby boy,”said British Prime Minister David Cameron and well, you couldn’t agree more! Seems like a win- win situation for all

Excuse me, I still do not get the point of writing an article on the birth of a baby boy in the royal family of Britain? What the fuck does it have to do with us anyway. It's almost like being excited about the elections in the USA, the results of which are completely inconsequential to our country and its future.

So what if it is a baby boy? So what if she has given birth to a child? What does the Duchess of Cambridge have to do with the Indian Economy anyway? Does she even know how sad a state we are in? Does she care? Then why should we bother ourselves with her?

The nation demands an answer, Mr. Writer.

      Hello sir
Let me begin by saying that we don't focus specifically on the Indian economy..we focus on anything related to economy and which might have its impact on any of the country..this blog is called 'Economy Decoded' and not 'Indian Economy Decoded' and in this era of globalization the Indian Economy can't remain isolated from the world economy.
Secondly if you carefully read the article you will realize that it has been mentioned how the birth of the baby boy will have a huge impact on the retail industry in the UK which I believe is a very important part of any economy.

Thank you for your would really help me improve :)
And for future reference..I'm a it would be Ms. Writer:)
