It’s time to wrap up warm for autumn and winter, but that doesn’t mean you have to stop looking fabulous! Fashion trends this winter according to me are pretty predictable. So here’s my opinion, after those blissful hours spent reading Vogue and Femina..
Chunky and textured are the keys to knitwear this winter – whether cardigans, turtlenecks or sweaters. Try a long knit cardigan teamed with bright tights and ankle boots. Knits are hot in charcoal grey, bold colours or classic black. Team with a belt to ensure you don’t lose your shape, and snuggle away to glory!
The typical oversized leather bag, is still very much in, and will always be. Glamorous black, bold purple or charcoal grey- have your pick. Oversized bling-y clutches are in as much as they were in summers, just pick greys and blacks.
A high heel is in vogue for the winter months, giving you a simmering look even on the coldest night. Maybe patent leather (to match your bag), metallic hues (full metallic might be too much) and bright colours (shoes in red, blue or green are great with dark outfits). And by the way, boots look superb with tights and a short skirt.
Saaris! Oh, they never go out, and they always look great. Freeze to death, but never let them go. Since its winters, you could also wear long to elbow-length sleeves to the blouse. Apart from the winter rule of dark colours, light shades of greens, reds, blues and purples would do great to break the monotony.
Hope all these tips come in handy when you feel hopeless and can’t find anything to wear one gloomy winter day and enjoy the winter with grace and style!
