    Today, in 1983 India lifted the World Cup at the Lord’s Cricket Ground. The Indian squad celebrates glorious 32 years and so do we.

    Turning point of 1983 – India just managed to stay in the game and…Need I say anymore?



     Defending 183 in 1983? It was almost impossible! But miracles do happen.

    Vivian Richards the biggest hurdle walked back to the stands. And the Indians a step closer to history. 


    25 Jun 1983:  Kapil Dev of India lifts the Cricket World Cup after his team beat the West Indies at Lords in the final.


    Kapil Dev and his team turned the tables defeating the two time World Champions (and the only ones)!


    Within minutes this was what Lord’s looked like. The picture speaks more than anything else.



    Even after 32 years the celebrations are like this! Because the First World Cup win is the first.
